Email subscribers
Visitors can subscribe to a service from its status page. They need no account.

How subscribing works
- The visitor opens
/subscribe/{slug}, enters an email address and solves a proof-of-work captcha. - A confirmation email is sent. The subscription becomes active only after the visitor confirms it.
- Every later email contains a personal one-click unsubscribe link.
Subscribing again with an address that is already subscribed creates nothing and shows the same success message.
What subscribers receive
Subscribers receive every manual status update of the service, including component updates, and the incident opened and incident closed emails. They also receive automated updates from public monitors. See email notifications.
Limits
| Plan | Subscribers per service |
|---|---|
| FREE | 100 |
| PRO | 10,000 |
When the limit is reached, new sign-ups receive no confirmation email and the service ADMINs get a "subscriber limit reached" email. A platform operator can change the limit, and a limit of 0 turns subscriptions off for the service.
