Thresholds and timing
Thresholds
Each threshold is the number of consecutive results needed before a status update is published. Each can be from 1 to 1000.
| Threshold | Counts | Publishes |
|---|---|---|
| Degraded | Consecutive Degraded results | Degraded Performance |
| Critical | Consecutive Critical results | Critical Outage |
| Execution failures | Consecutive timeouts and errors, meaning the check itself failed | The status you choose under Publish as |
A threshold fires once, when the streak first reaches it, not on every failing check. When a check returns Operational after a different result, an "operational" update is published.
Timing
| Setting | Rule |
|---|---|
| Interval | Hours (0 to 23) plus minutes (0 to 59). |
| Interval, public monitor | At least 5 minutes. |
| Interval, private monitor | At least twice the timeout. |
| Timeout | 5 to 120 seconds. The default is 30. |
If the interval is shorter than twice the timeout, the form raises it and tells you.
History
The Monitoring tab shows recent streaks: status, start time, number of unchanged checks, response time and error.
