Services
A service is one thing you report status for, such as a website or an Application Programming Interface (API). Each service has its own public status page, team, plan, components, monitors and settings.
Fields

| Name | Required, up to 256 characters. |
| Slug | The Uniform Resource Locator (URL) name: /status/{slug}. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, 3 to 100 characters, not starting or ending with a hyphen. Unique across all services. |
| Type | Website, API, Intranet, Mobile App or Other. |
| Description | Optional, up to 4096 characters. Shown as the page description when search engines may index the page. |
Limits
- An account can belong to 2 services by default, counting both services it created and services it joined. A platform operator can raise the limit.
- The person who creates a service becomes its ADMIN.
- Every service starts on the FREE plan. See plans and limits.
Deleting a service
Only an ADMIN can delete a service, under Settings in the Danger Zone card. Deletion cannot be undone from the interface.
