Search engine indexing

New status pages ask search engines not to index them (noindex). Turning indexing on needs the PRO plan or an override set by a platform operator. Turning noindex on again is always allowed.

What an indexable page contains

  • A <title> with the service name, and the component name on component pages.
  • A description taken from the service or component description.
  • A canonical Uniform Resource Locator (URL).
  • Open Graph data with the Status Raptor logo.

Private pages

A page that uses a secret link or a password is never indexed and has no search metadata, whatever the setting says.

Where to change it

Settings, Search engine indexing card. Only ADMIN members can change it.
