How do I share my status page with a secret link?

In Settings, choose Private, secret link in the Page visibility card and select Save visibility. Copy the link that appears and send it to the people who should see the page.

Before you start

• You are a service ADMIN.
• The service has no custom domain. A page with a custom domain must stay public.

Steps

1. Open the service and select Settings.
2. In Page visibility, select Private, secret link and select Save visibility.
3. Copy the link shown in the card. It has the form /p/<token>.
4. Send the link only to people who should have access.

Questions

What happens to the normal address?

/status/{slug} stops working for visitors who have not opened the link. It returns 404, so it does not reveal that the page exists.

How do I revoke access?

Select Regenerate link and confirm. The old link stops working immediately, for everyone who used it.

Can search engines find the page?

No. Private pages are never indexed.
