How do I attach a monitor to a component?

Choose the component in the Component field of the monitor form. The monitor's results then change that component's status. With None, they change the service's status.

Steps

1. Open the monitor form, either from Add Monitoring or by editing a monitor.
2. Choose the component in Component.
3. Save the monitor.

Questions

Can I move an existing monitor to another component?

Yes. Edit the monitor and change Component.

What happens if I delete the component?

The monitors attached to it are deleted too.
