How do I sign in with Google or GitHub?
On /login or /register, select Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub and approve the request. If no account exists for that email address, one is created.
Before you start
- Google: the email address of the Google account must be verified.
- GitHub: the GitHub account needs a public email address. Without one, sign-in fails.
Steps
- Open
/login. - Select Continue with Google or Continue with GitHub.
- Approve the access request at the provider.
Questions
Will I get a second account if I already registered with a password?
No. The provider sign-in uses the existing account with the same email address.
Can I set a password for an account created with Google or GitHub?
Use Forgot password? on the sign-in page. Password reset only works for accounts that already have a password, so keep signing in with the provider if the account has none.
